Messages are read by the people who build the site. Corrections are handled first and are the one category that always gets an answer, because a wrong fact about somebody's home compounds every day it stays up.
For a correction the most useful message is short and specific: the page, the fact, and the city record that shows what it should say. Everything here comes from files anyone can download, so a citation resolves in minutes what a description takes a day to untangle.
For anything else - data licensing, press, a question about how a number was derived - say which it is. The coverage page names every file we load and answers most method questions before they need asking.
